There is no Nano iPhone, it doesn’t have economic sense.
Iphone currently so cheap, why would bother to destroyed its market with lower and cheaper phone just like Motorola business model?

New product should be new computer with iPhone function and capability

My former biz was design, manufacturing, distribution of electronic products. There is NO WAY that apple could pull this off. They are the kings of tech sure, but one cannot beat the logistical problems of manufacturing so easy. Products have to be plained typically 2 years in advance, thus it would make no sense to launch a new product so shortly after the second in this line, but it may be viable for next year (fingers crossed).

I can’t find it now but I do remember a demo where someone put a touchscreen in the back of a gadget where you could see your fingers glide across the screen on the front. It actually looked cool and intuitive.

But I agree that this rumor sounds very unlikely, especially with Techcrunch story about Foxconn building 800.000 iPhones a week now. Or are those iPhone nanos too???

Putting a clickwheel on the back and a touch screen up front would open a whole lot of new interactions, faster selection etc. Try it yourself with your iPhone.

Second point if they do not include touch in the iPhone nano but a clickwheel on the back than it can be much smaller. If I remember correctly Apple already has a patent with a click wheel on the back.

I wouldn’t be surprised.

While mobile market is just one of the competitive markets Apple reside in, its definitely not the most interesting to mee. I would love to have a iPhone nano though :)
