Although a few differences exist between ‘public communities’ (like Facebook and Myspace) and ‘enterprise communities’ (for example communities used to nurture innovation within organisations).

Thorougher Analysis!

But what is the most important reason? and by how far ahead? content is the main reason I suspect, if there is compelling content people will engage! This is probably 90% of the cause.
