I have Outlook setup to regularly make backups of contacts and documents. In the process of reinstalling the operating system and programs I (re)installed the Plaxo Outlook plug-in, and voilà, all the contacts were back. Before I even had to try to restore from the backups. It's just a petty it messes up my calendar, I don't know why but it duplicates all my appointments, and quadruplicates the birthday reminders...
