After last nights news about the €6.5 million investment in eBuddy we decided to sneak our way into the eBuddy offices this morning to see if we could find the money. We did find SOME money AND Onno Bakker (co-founder together with Jan-Joost Rueb and Paulo Taylor) of eBuddy. He told us a little bit about the investment and how they celebrated and how that felt the next day.

Check the shocked faces on the employees as we rush in and shout “Where is the money!”.

I’m glad we didn’t get shot OR arrested. Maybe we should make a series of unexpected interviews like this. Check out our earlier Michael Arrington Heist.

    HAHA!

    Classic!

In South Africa, I reckon you’d have been shot though guys.. seriously ;)

The thought of ANY company investing that kind of money into ANYthing South African, just..well.. ye.. it wouldn’t happen.

SA Went mad over Shuttleworth getting R3.4 Billion Rands for this Certificate Company a couple years ago. Poor deep dark Africa.

I honestly wonder how long it’s going to take all these ‘renound SA bloggers/www entrepenurers to leave for green pastures?

This is classic. You really should make a series of this when new companies get funded. Don’t worry, you won’t get shot. None of these companies have enough money to arm themselves pre-financing.

Muffled sound, blurry image and zero added value. I couldn’t even hear what was being said because of the mumbling dutch accents.

I am all for entertainment, even sometimes on a serious blog. But I’m thinking it could be much better executed with somewhat more interesting questions and a better mic/camera.
